Te Tauranga / The Landing / Le Taulaga: Logo ī Pūlotu

Logo ī Pūlotu is a collective of Māori and Moana sound artists convened by Albert L. Refiti and Lemi Ponifasio, who have been experimenting with listening, feeling, and sensing one another during sonic talanoa.

This video was recorded at the performance ‘Teʻu le Roots & Routes’, held in connection with Oceanic Architectural Routes, a 2023 Objectspace exhibition curated by Refiti. This immersive experience, presented in collaboration with Samoa House Library, occurred in the Fale Maota located inside the Samoa House building on Karangahape Road.

The collective includes David Feauaʻi Afaese, Samara Alofa, Salvador Brown, Sione Faletau, Abigail Aroha Jensen, Le Manaia Ponifasio, Navākatoa Tekela-Pule, Rāhana Tito-Taylor and Leafa Wilson, with Emily Parr as videographer.

Te Tauranga / The Landing / Le Taulaga is a rotating digital gallery for moving-image artworks. View Teʻʻ’u le Roots & Routes in full here.
